Russian forces continue their northern offensive and are now just 3.5km from Kupyansk. An AFU counter offensive failed to halt the Russian advance. It’s reported Ukrainian authorities are preparing to evacuate the city.
Russia has 5 divisions in the area according to deepstate map, in addition they have several sub-units and storm-Z units so 100k and 900 tanks is definitely realistic, I also made a similar estimate months before the Ukrainians claimed it.
The divisions: 4th guards tank division, 90th tank division, 144th guards motor rifle division, 3rd motor rifle division, 2nd motor rifle division.
Subunits of the the 98th Airborne Division, and the 76th Division,
"The 1st guards tank army located by Svatove has about 500 tanks, with 3 tank regiments and a tank brigade included.
Combine this with the 90th tank division by Kreminna which has another 3 tank regiments the amount of tanks by svatove/kreminna could exceed 800."
But the moment the Ukrainians manifest a pronounced physical, logistical, and moral exhaustion across broad sections of the front, that is when I would expect to see the Russians launch their version of a counter-offensive.
