西德政府已于今日宣布将不再延长追诉纳粹战犯的法律条款期限

此举意味着在1965年年中长达20年的追诉时长到期后，纳粹战犯将不再受到新的指控。但如果在追诉时长到期前启动追诉程序，那么该程序仍可以完成

政府发言人在新闻发布会上说，西德总理路德维希·艾哈德的内阁决定不延长追诉期限，因为它不想遵循纳粹的做法，为法律原则做出例外。

多年前，西德政府针对所有仍在通缉名单上的纳粹战犯主犯采取了法律行动。保证了他们一旦回到西德就会受到惩罚

BONN, Nov. 11 (AP)—The West German Government announced today that it would not extend the statute of limitations on Nazi war crimes.

This means that no new charges may be brought against Nazi war criminals after the 20‐year statute expires in mid‐1965. But if legal proceedings are started by then, they may be completed.

A Government spokesman said at a news conference that Chancellor Ludwig Erhard's Cabinet decided against an extension because it did not want to follow the Nazi practice of making exceptions to legal principles to suit the Government.

Legal action was started years ago against all major war criminals still on the wanted list. This insures that they will be punished if they ever return to West Germany.

算是露馅之后又补上了
因为在勃兰特政府上台以后西德政府取消了对纳粹战犯的追诉期限规定
也就是说对纳粹战犯的追诉期限改为无限长
